Welcome bonus at Cardwin: read the price tag first
The welcome bonus — also called a first deposit bonus or sign-up bonus — is the offer every new player sees first. It is designed to look generous, and the headline number is the least informative part of it. We do not list Cardwin's current welcome package; the operator sets it and it changes. Here is how to value any welcome offer in a couple of minutes.
Visit CardwinAnatomy of a welcome package
- Match percentage — how much bonus you get per euro deposited.
- Cap — the most bonus money available.
- Free spins — sometimes added, often released in batches.
- Multi-deposit structure — some packages span the first two to four deposits, each with its own terms.
Valuing it in four lines
Illustrative example, not a Cardwin term: a 150% match up to €150 on a €100 deposit gives €150 bonus. With 35x wagering on the bonus, you must stake €5,250. At a 96% RTP slot the expected loss is €210. The bonus does not cover it. Halve the wagering to 17.5x and the expected loss drops to €105 — now the bonus is worth about €45 on average.
| Wagering on €150 bonus | Stake required | Expected loss at 96% RTP | Average value |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15x | €2,250 | €90 | +€60 |
| 25x | €3,750 | €150 | €0 |
| 35x | €5,250 | €210 | −€60 |
How to claim, and when not to
- Read the bonus terms, including maximum bet and excluded games.
- Register with accurate details — one account per person.
- Opt in or enter the code before confirming the first deposit.
- Track wagering progress in your account and respect the time limit.
Skip the bonus if the wagering would push you beyond your normal play, if you mostly play live tables, or if you want to keep your balance withdrawable.
Who is eligible
