Bonus terms: the general rules behind every offer
Besides the terms of each promotion, casinos publish general bonus terms that apply to all offers. This is where the clauses that cost players their winnings usually live: the max bet with bonus, restricted games and the definition of bonus abuse. We have not verified Cardwin's wording; below is what to look for in any set of bonus terms and conditions.

Max bet: the most expensive mistake
While a bonus is active, you may only stake up to a set amount per round. A single spin above the limit — often made in a moment of excitement — can void the bonus and everything won with it. Not every game blocks oversized bets automatically, so the responsibility sits with you. Check the limit before changing your stake.
Bonus abuse
Operators define bonus abuse broadly. Typical examples are opening several accounts, playing in a coordinated group to harvest offers, using near risk-free bet combinations (such as covering both red and black) to clear wagering, playing restricted games, or swinging stakes sharply. Penalties range from removing the bonus to closing the account.
Unfair terms and your rights
In many countries consumer law and gambling regulators limit unfair or non-transparent bonus terms. If a term looks unreasonable, ask the operator to explain it in writing before you opt in, and keep a dated copy of the terms. If a dispute arises later, follow our complaints guide.
Simple protections
- Screenshot the terms with the date before opting in.
- Ask support to clarify anything unclear — in writing.
- If you do not understand the terms, do not take the bonus.
